An escape room, also known as an escape game, puzzle room, exit game, or riddle room is a game in which a team of players discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in one or more rooms in order to accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time.
It all starts with a story
A good escape room starts with a great storyline, the story should set up the scenario for the players to get them in the zone.
Room design
Not all escape rooms are equal its true, some have jaw dropping interiors and other not so much, the design of an escape room in our opinion is very important. The environment you're in will help you immerse yourself into the storyline and ultimately make the game so much more enjoyable.
Clues and Puzzles
Well thought out puzzles and clues are an essential part of the escape room experience and can literally make or break the room. The best storyline and the best decoration will always be the foundation for a great game but if the puzzles themselves are not engaging then you will not be able to get the full experience, games can vary from mental to physical and should pose a challenge without being impossible to solve. There is a fine line between fun and frustrating that is difficult to achieve when building an escape room, however when its done right the experience is totally immersive and will leave you wanting more.
Who can play?
Historically escape rooms have been the playground of teens and adults alike, as we are based in a tourist area we have been carful to create rooms that can be played and enjoyed by a slightly wider audience. This has enabled families to all take part in one way or another, obviously some of the games are challenging (as they should be) but by integrating some modern touches and tech younger players can also get involved. We have also created some physical games that can be enjoyed and played by a slightly younger audience.
